I work to support my clients through a variety of topics including: relationship choices, women's issues, anxiety, social anxiety, depression and life transitions retirement, job transition, divorce, sexual identity, moving, death, and infertility. I also have of 13 years experience working with youth ages 12-18 in a variety of topics. I believe that all people at some point in their life feel stuck, and therapy is a process to help a person feel unstuck through self-discovery, self-awareness, learning, and sometimes through practicing new ways of thinking and/or new behaviors.

I am dedicated to helping others navigate their complex and uncomfortable emotions and behaviors. At the core of therapy is change. Change itself can be scary, exciting and challenging. We will get through it together.

There are many approaches to addressing the state of life we find ourselves living in. I practice holistic integrative care that addresses the whole person - mind, body, spirit. Healing is a journey, in which I offer support by creating, establishing and maintaining open and direct relationships with clients. My goal is to assist in bringing balance, and restoring energy and passions through traditional therapies or energy based interventions. My focus is to help individuals, couples and families acknowledge the strengths they have and to bring relief to defeating beliefs and behaviors.

Having raised a son and daughter, married a long time and six grandchildren, I know families, careers and life in general can be very stressful. I am a CSTIP(Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional) and specialize in relationship and couples counseling. I work primarily with those dealing with marital, relationship and sex related concerns. I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship discrepancy, family disfunction and every day life obstacles. To better serve my clients, I use evidence based practices within a therapeutic setting. It is my goal to provide individual's with counseling they will enjoy, even when the situation is not preferable.

I believe that all humans are innately driven to seek balance and congruence, and that when this drive is disrupted, whether it be due to emotional difficulties, relational stressors, or other life changes, we begin to suffer. It is my privilege to accompany my clients in their process of establishing balance and integration, ultimately achieving a sense of wholeness and security. I recognize that sometimes talk therapy isn't enough so I use a variety of additional therapies, including EMDR, which facilitate change by reprocessing emotionally-charged memories or experiences that often show up as physical sensations in the body.

These last few years of the pandemic have been very difficult for most people. I have seen a surge in anxiety, depression, loneliness, stress on marriages and family relationships, health issues, and loads of despair and grief. The pandemic has seemed to push some of these issues to the front and center for people and they can no longer be avoided or dismissed. It is a sensitive time for people to begin addressing their need for help. It can be so overwhelming and difficult to know how to begin talking about it - especially with someone who is a stranger such as myself.

Providing a safe and supportive environment for a client to work on their issues is of the utmost importance for me. I truly try to meet clients where they are at in terms of their issues while providing encouraging and non-judgmental feedback. My work with children and families is based on building safe, supportive relationships. I carefully consider individual, couple and family strengths and needs, providing therapeutic direction based upon this. A combination of child development, mindfulness, and family systems informs my work. I use play therapy, sandtray, narrative-storytelling tools, practical skill building, arts, and parent coaching in my practice. The power of relationships and the recognition of one's strengths are emphasized throughout our work together.
