I'm currently accepting new clients for virtual or in-person care. I provide individual therapy for women and gender non-binary clients. My clients struggle with body image, relationship problems, or oftentimes a general sense of not feeling "good enough." Sometimes this shows up as anxiety in a romantic partnership, at work, or in the way they view their bodies.

Potential clients will work well with me if they are ready to better themselves and explore those conscious or unconscious thoughts and feelings that may be affecting their everyday life and behaviors. The client who is willingly to cater to their mental health and who is open to receiving the help, will gain the most out of our sessions.

Client who’s willing and ready to make a change and willing to work on everything that needs to happen. Issues include anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues. Goals include finding ways to manage the triggers and find healthy problem solving techniques

My counseling philosophy is difficult doesn't mean impossible. I believe counseling involves helping you move from your current state towards what you are capable of becoming. This can be accomplished through a counseling relationship that (1) is genuine and real (2) enables you to experience acceptance and care, and (3) helps you to feel understood.

Dr. Walker, a native Detroiter, created Quilted Rose Clinical Services, PLLC out of a need for highly skilled Black clinicians expressly trained in social justice and trauma-focused treatment modalities. Dr. Walker works with all Black (BIPOC) people. She works collaboratively to facilitate growth in individuals struggling with trauma (car accidents, sexual abuse, ipv...) severe stress, depression, anxiety, major life transitions (divorce, recovering from the "sunken place," going away to college...) and stopping the cycle of unhealthy relationships all while maintaining within a society which thrives on systemic oppression.

My vision is for people to understand the value of taking care of their mental health each day. Our Mental Health plays a significant role in our overall health and well-being. As we navigate the challenges that we all face in this life, it is important that we learn to recognize our mental health needs and how we can take better care of ourselves in this area. One of my goals is to help remove the stigma that many of us have regarding seeking counseling. You do not have to have a mental illness in order to seek out or benefit from counseling. Seeking counseling is a form of self-care.

My deep passion in mental health is fueled by my lived experiences in supporting loved ones and others around me. My clinical priority is to help youth live, thrive, and accomplish their goals in life by helping them work through the everyday stressors and distresses that, if not addressed, can cause one to contemplate positive choices. I work with children, youth, families, and adults. I am a people person and have a knack for connecting and building trust.
