My name is Samantha Wright-Cooksey, MSW, LCSW. I have been a therapist for over 20 years with combined experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families. I have provided professional services in outpatient, home, community and school-based settings. I have worked in addictions as well as end of life issues. I utilize strength-based and solution focused techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and problem solving skills training. I offer in person and telehealth options for therapy. I accept most insurance, EAP, and self pay options.

THERAPY: I hear so much negativity in our field about work with people. But - I am amazed by some of the people that step foot into my office. I am in awe of their ability to smile through pain. I feel blessed that I get to share in their strong, resilience and desire to grow and change. I learn so much from them. I’m also frustrated with societies message that emotions like anger, resentfulness and jealousy are abnormal for us to feel. Sometimes they interfere with other parts of our life. These people that I encounter on a day-to-day basis are amazing, beautiful people. To all of them I say-

Claire is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the social work field for 11 years. She's been providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents for the past five years. Prior to private practice, she worked as a school social worker and then provided home based counseling services.
