My name is Samantha Wright-Cooksey, MSW, LCSW. I have been a therapist for over 20 years with combined experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families. I have provided professional services in outpatient, home, community and school-based settings. I have worked in addictions as well as end of life issues. I utilize strength-based and solution focused techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and problem solving skills training. I offer in person and telehealth options for therapy. I accept most insurance, EAP, and self pay options.

Lotus of Life is a growing group private practice serving individuals, couples and families. THERAPY: I hear so much negativity in our field about work with people. But - I am amazed by some of the people that step foot into my office. I am in awe of their ability to smile through pain. I feel blessed that I get to share in their strong, resilience and desire to grow and change. I learn so much from them. I’m also frustrated with societies message that emotions like anger, resentfulness and jealousy are abnormal for us to feel. Sometimes they interfere with other parts of our life. These people that I encounter on a day-to-day basis are amazing, beautiful people. To all of them I say-

Utilizing the creative part of oneself can be meaningful with or without an aesthetic product or result. The creative process can also reframe one's view of their problems and challenges which can lead to improved mental health and well being.

Juli is an adult adoptee who has been in reunion with her birth family for over 25 years. She is passionate about helping adoptees in their healing journeys through Brainspotting and other brain-body modalities. Juli also uses play therapy and mindfulness-based techniques with children. Juli enjoys working with issues such as adoption/adoptee issues, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

In the face of life’s challenges, true strength lies in the courage to seek support. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am committed to guiding individuals toward finding balance, resilience, and joy amidst adversity. My approach integrates mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and applied neuroscience, offering compassionate, evidence-based care to help those struggling to transform their difficulties into sources of joy, fulfillment, and connection.

I enjoy helping neurodiverse individuals improve their mental health and navigate challenges such as late ADHD or Autism diagnosis. My focus is on enhancing executive functioning, fostering support systems, boosting social confidence, and assisting clients in self-advocacy at school, work, and healthcare settings. I also find satisfaction in guiding clients toward more fulfilling careers with better work-life balance.
