I draw on aspects of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, humanistic, psychodynamic, and acceptance and commitment therapy to assist clients in improving their symptoms, relationships, self-image, and coping strategies.
I strongly believe that therapy should be a safe place where anyone can come and talk about their life without judgment or shame. It is a place where everyone can benefit from unconditional empathy, understanding, and grace. I am an outgoing person who is easy to talk to, and I do my best to make the therapeutic process as smooth and understandable as possible. We will go at your pace and create a personalized treatment plan to meet your needs and goals. I strive to help you become self sustaining where you can gain a sense of understanding of what skills you need, why you are utilizing them, and when to utilize the skills learned.

When we can no longer accept the things we cannot change, we must change the things we cannot accept. Beginning a therapeutic journey can be an intimidating process, however, it is the first step towards growth, exploration, and change. Whether you are suffering with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues or you are interested in self-exploration, I believe that having a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist can make all the difference. My clinical focus includes working with LGBTQIA+ folks, self-esteem, and family of origin issues. I am passionate about providing a safe, validating, and affirming space for all.

Are you feeling anxious, fearful, unsupported, lonely or confused? Is life currently a struggle? Why struggle alone when there is help available? Allow me to help you find your own inner resources to journey through whatever is causing these symptoms. Yes, life is challenging but I do believe we each have the capacity to heal and thrive. We just need the tools. Perhaps, you may have tools but have forgotten how to use them, or you were never taught how; this is the time to allow me to help you birth the new you. If you're in a problem relationship, experiencing infidelity, possible divorce, life transitions, difficulty in the workplace, too little time, worried about money, or your family's making you crazy - I can help. Moving from problem talk to solution talk is my focus. I enjoy working together discussing your concerns as you move toward fulfilling relationships, an overall better existence, and peace with yourself. We all want to feel happy and hopeful. However, sometimes life gets in the way and we're unsure of our next step. It's important to know that it's OK to ask for help.

I believe that each individual is unique, and shaped by their life experiences. Problems and difficulties develop when we begin to live in a way that is not in accordance with our "true self". My main goal as a therapist is to help patients explore what path they need to take in order to be authentic to who they are. The ultimate goal for each person is to live a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

The thought about talking to a stranger about what’s going on is terrifying. When the process involves an honest conversation about symptoms, family problems, and addiction or other “shameful” family secrets, it can keep anyone from healing. You were taught to keep it to yourself and not cause trouble. To not air family secrets and that emotions are dramatic and useless. Especially the biggest of all- grief. There is nobody that gets to escape grief in this process. It's a myth that any of it has to be painful or overwhelming. And struggling with feelings or needing to heal doesn't make you weak.Nobody taught you how to do this.
