Hi, I'm Dr. AnnMarie Whithed. Are you finding it more difficult to manage the challenges the past couple of years has brought? Are you coping with the loss of a job or the illness of a loved one, dealing with a divorce or breakup of an important relationship, or coping with painful past experiences? I can help. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 17 years experience helping people find their inner strength and overcome challenges. I provide individual psychotherapy for adults age 25 and older, focusing on creating a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your pace.

For the past 12 years, Elizabeth has been helping clients heal their mental health challenges and difficult relationship patterns to construct a life they are proud of. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specialist degree in Play Therapy.

I believe you are capable of meaningful change and growth in your life. You don't have to figure it all out by yourself. My practice is focused on helping people understand and live a life that is in alignment with their values, learn how to trust themselves, and ultimately thrive even amongst difficult circumstances throughout their life. I help people overcome struggles with anxiety, body image and disordered eating, self-esteem, and perfectionism. Together we will challenge and reframe negative beliefs, address unhelpful thought patterns, and ultimately move you towards a life of empowerment and greater alignment with your goals.

I work with adults in individual, family, couple, and group therapeutic settings. I have worked with those who struggle with depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, behavior issues, anger, life transitions & stress, trauma, and self-esteem, family dynamics, co-occurring disorders, and executive functioning. I received my Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Texas.

Therapy is not a one size fits all process. It is my role as a therapist to find out more about who you are as a multifaceted individual and find what evidence based approach works best for you through empowerment and collaboration. In order to do this, I must work alongside each client to build a foundation of safety, trust, and rapport.
