Someone once said, "Like the moon, we must go through phases of emptiness to feel full again." Tallahassee Counseling & Consulting is a group of Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Clinical Social Work Interns who are here to walk with you during these different phases. We specialize in working with children, families, and adults who have been impacted by trauma, anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and relationship issues.

TownsendARC provides individual counseling for a variety of addiction and mental health issues. We also provide a Substance Abuse and Relapse Prevention treatment. We preform evaluations for Court, Probation, and provide the Federal DOT/FMCSA SAP Program (Qualified Substance Abuse Professional under Federal DOT). We also provide guidance for employers regarding the new Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. TownsendARC has been in business in Tallahassee since 1984 and was originally run by Dr. Albert Menduni at Tallahassee Community Hospital as the Addiction Recovery Center.

Life can take us to places we don't want to go, and give us an education for which we did not want to pay. I understand this and can help you navigate life's uncertainties. I have assisted clients learn to love themselves, find the resources they need, and heal from the situations life brings to us. I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental safe place to explore, process, and heal. You might not feel like it, but you are stronger than you know. I will be your biggest cheerleader, your advocate, your support in times of stress. I will also challenge the old ways of thinking and doing things.

I understand how life challenges can be difficult to overcome and can cause increased stress, anxiety or depression. While some people suffer temporary periods of anxiety or depression; others may have more life long persistent mental illness such as Bi-polar or Schizophrenia. My passion for helping others plus my personal experience raising two children with special needs led me to opening Bright Future Behavioral Health Inc. Bright Future is a non-profit agency dedicated to educating the community and providing a holistic approach to treatment. We provide telehealth services, in office services, and community based counseling.
