As an experienced therapist, I have dealt with a broad range of mental health issues. I work with a network of physicians, mental health providers, and spiritual advisors to provide the best care for my clients. I aim to guide clients in asking the right questions and finding answers that lead to positive and progressive outcomes in the therapeutic process. While my primary focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I employ other techniques as needed to help my clients achieve the change they desire.

Malakeia Scott -Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 8 + years of experience in social work. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University with a Masters degree in Social Work. Her career began with counseling adolescents and teens with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. She has worked as a hospice social worker providing clients and their families with emotional support, resources and navigating end-of-life care. She has also served as a Therapeutic Support Specialist with the Division of Children and Family State Office Unit, serving youth in the child welfare system, and clients adjusting to life on dialysis.

I enjoy inviting people to therapeutic spaces to speak about the issues and challenges that are important to them. I consider the therapeutic space a sacred, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where people can share their stories, joys, celebrations, challenges, and struggles in life. Life is a journey and I desire to journey with you as you discover your authentic self by understanding your core beliefs, relationships, spiritual values, narratives, ethics, and family systems. My approach to counseling is collaborative and relational as I seek to partner with you towards a path of health and wholeness.

I am a graduate of Auburn University and received my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have 20 years of counseling experience. My practice is an outpatient, private practice located on Kennesaw Avenue in Marietta. Office hours are by appointment, and most appointments are 45-minutes. I offer services to individuals for a wide range of issues or situations. My services may be covered in part by your health insurance. I am on most insurance panels.
