Many people come to counseling feeling stuck in certain behaviors, relational patterns, or emotional cycles, perhaps without even understanding why, or without hope of lasting change. My desire is to journey with you toward emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational wholeness. You may be facing a broken relationship, suffering from disordered eating or body image concerns, have a history of sexual abuse or trauma, be living with or recovering from a serious illness, or be experiencing depression or anxiety. My therapeutic style is empathetic, energetic, relatable, approachable, and passionate. I know therapy can be scary, so I try to create a safe and positive environment. Clients will feel that I’m truly in their corner while not shying away from pointing out blind spots to aid in their growth. My ideal patient is someone who truly wants to break cycles, heal, and do the work to feel better holistically.

As a licensed professional counselor, my goal is to help individuals, couples, and families identify areas where change is needed to enhance growth, harmony, and balance in their lives. I take a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities into my practice including CBT, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Imago Therapy, DBT, Mindfulness Based Therapy (i.e., meditation, guided imagery, deep breathing), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Hypnotherapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Animal Assisted Therapy.

I am a licensed psychologist with over 28 years of experience in providing counseling and psychological evaluations including forensic, sexual trauma, and psychosexual evaluations. I work with children, teens, and adults to help them cope with issues such as depression, anxiety, divorce, behavioral problems, sexual concerns, and trauma. I am a certified clinical trauma professional. I also serve as the Director of Medlin Treatment Center, a counseling center with 19 therapists on staff. If I'm not available or the best fit, I can refer you to another therapist in my office. I can practice via telehealth in 40 states.
