I founded Melanin Mommy Therapy with Black Women at the forefront. As a Black Women, we often identify with the feeling of failing when in reality, we are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and so much more. Many people may look at the Black Woman and automatically place her at the bottom of the totem pole and I say that is because we as Black Women are the foundation of so much. We carry so much on our shoulders while being told to be strong and pray on it.

Many people come to counseling feeling stuck in certain behaviors, relational patterns, or emotional cycles, perhaps without even understanding why, or without hope of lasting change. My desire is to journey with you toward emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational wholeness. You may be facing a broken relationship, suffering from disordered eating or body image concerns, have a history of sexual abuse or trauma, be living with or recovering from a serious illness, or be experiencing depression or anxiety. I work with children, teens, and adults to help them cope with issues such as depression, anxiety, divorce, behavioral problems, sexual concerns, and trauma. I am a certified clinical trauma professional. I also serve as the Director of Medlin Treatment Center, a counseling center with 19 therapists on staff. If I'm not available or the best fit, I can refer you to another therapist in my office. I can practice via telehealth in 40 states.
