Are you worried about your teen? Feel like you have tried everything to help your teen and it seems like nothing has worked? There are many reasons why your teen may be irritable, isolate, have poor grades in school, or seem to enjoy breaking rules. For over 20 years I have worked with adolescents and their families on learning to communicate more effectively and gain a sense of control over their lives. I have a strong background in working with adolescents and adults with drug and alcohol issues.

I enjoy working with adults and couples struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, relationship distress, and questions related to faith and spirituality. I have a specific passion for helping Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA), and others who have been impacted by substance abuse. My goal is to offer a safe space for you to be heard as you explore thoughts, beliefs, relationship patterns, and ways of coping that may be obstacles to living a more fulfilled life. As a fellow traveler, I'm committed to walking alongside you on your journey to greater overall health and wellness.

As a licensed professional counselor, my goal is to help individuals, couples, and families identify areas where change is needed to enhance growth, harmony, and balance in their lives. I take a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities into my practice including CBT, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Imago Therapy, DBT, Mindfulness Based Therapy (i.e., meditation, guided imagery, deep breathing), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Hypnotherapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Animal Assisted Therapy.

I have been a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor for 25 years. Understanding the loss that comes with addiction, my goal is to help people gain tools for recovery and stability, to create accountability and support, to help restore relationships, to give hope and encouragement. My experience has been within the judicial system/Board of Pardons and Paroles, psychiatric hospitals, wilderness treatment programs, therapeutic boarding schools, treatment facilities and private practice. I work with adolescents, young adults, adults and couples...and their families.
