Hi, thank you for stopping by my page in your search for a therapist! I have been providing quality mental health and wellness treatment for 20 years. I provide counseling for issues of Anxiety, Stress Management, Depression, and Grief & Loss to Adults, Adolescents, Couples and families. Additionally, I offer Life coaching as well!

Change can be difficult, seem impossible, and leave a person feeling overwhelmed, powerless, and destined to stay stuck. I believe that change is achievable, and each person can become the person he/she wants to be in life. The process of change is unique for each person, and it is my goal to empower and encourage each person to identify and harness personal strengths while overcoming problematic thoughts and behaviors. Change is challenging but possible. I would like to help you achieve your change.

I am accepting new clients and have availability now with no waitlist. Every young person should have the opportunity to reach their potential however stressors and challenges can cause barriers that prevent this. As a child and adolescent therapist, I create an open and safe environment where a young person has the freedom to explore their developing awareness of themselves and their place in the world around them. Having an accepting space where individuals feel seen and heard promotes an individual’s own capacity for self-healing, growth, and change.

I enjoy working with people involved in the justice system, service members, veterans and families, women and men in recovery from addictive behaviors and adolescents. I offer a safe environment where you will feel comfortable and can openly share without fear of judgment.

I work with clients who may be struggling with addictions or trauma as well as anxieties. During our initial sessions we will dive into the issues that are causing you to present for treatment and then collaborate on creating a plan that helps you get your life back. Most of my client see a gradual lifting of symptoms within a month and sustained improvement after that.

I believe that no two individuals are the same or come into therapy with the same experiences. Therefore, I would define my counseling approach as eclectic/integrative because I believe in meeting my clients where they are at- then tailoring my approach to meet specific needs. To support the therapeutic relationship, my goal is to provide my clients a space to come as they are and be met with empathetic understanding, support, and genuineness.

Most people have a natural drive to be independent and self-sustaining. The truth is life is not always easy and it can be difficult to be vulnerable with others. When people use their courage and bravery to reach out, I have nothing but admiration for them. In the dark times of life, we need a place where we can feel understood, genuinely cared about, and supported. I believe that every person is unique, and everyone has different needs. Some times life's difficulties take more time then we would like but I am there to go through it all with you.

With background and advanced training in both mental health counseling and sport, exercise, and performance psychology, I enjoy collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds who are motivated to find a deeper sense of purpose, meaning, and peace, gain insight, and more adaptively respond to life experiences. Clinically, I specialize in the treatment of chronic and acute stress and trauma, particularly as it relates to adverse childhood experiences. From a sport psychology perspective, I work with performers to cultivate resilience, respond more adaptively to sport-based stressors, and find enjoyment in sport and exercise.

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker and have enjoyed a career helping others feel empowered to make change and achieve goals for a happier and purposeful life. I work with both children and adults who are struggling to cope with stress, new life situations or persistent problems. My personal practice is centered on curiosity, openness, and understanding. I will never claim to know exactly what it is like to live the life you’ve lived (as we’re all so unique!), but I will do my best to hear your story in the way you want it to be heard. I aim to help my clients cultivate self-compassion and develop coping and self-regulation tools that can be accessed no matter what life may throw their way. My experience is primarily in working with complex trauma, anxiety, disordered eating, and LGBTQ+ issues.
