I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, providing over 25 years of therapeutic practice to all populations. I am a native of New York, currently residing in Virginia for over 25 years. I hold a BS & MS in psych. For the last 10 years I have counseled service members of all branches of the military, their spouses and dependents. I have an extensive work history providing clinical services to the inmate, probation and parole population as well as the LBGTQ community. I specialize in marriage, couples and family therapy utilizing a family system, cognitive behavioral and humanistic approach.

Alex has developed competency working with a diverse group of individuals, as he has worked in a multitude of settings in the mental health field. Alex specializes in working with adults looking for help with anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, grief, and loss, as well as other areas. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston and received his Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Layne is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which has shown to effectively treat trauma. Layne also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to treat depression, anxiety and a variety of personality disorders. Layne has experience with psychotic disorders, Bipolar disorders, and other serious mental illnesses and offers symptom mapping and management.
