Lucy Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania who has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help them manage the effects of anxiety, depression, grief, life stress, trauma, work stress, OCD, Adult ADHD, and Mild Autism. Lucy has significant experience working with children and adolescents. She enjoys helping youth to express their feelings, feel more positive about themselves and develop positive coping skills.

I feel that all clients have a choice in their treatment and should have access to an array of techniques to address their needs. I also think is is important that clients find a therapist that is a good "fit" for them. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, and Strength-Based techniques in my work. I also believe in the importance of taking care of your physical health in conjunction with mental health. I help to identify triggers to symptoms as well as creating healthier coping strategies and boundaries.

A favorite story I often reference in my work, filled with metaphors and twists and turns, is The Wizard of Oz. At the end of the story Dorothy discovers that she has always had the power to return home to Kansas. However, the power was hidden from her and she did not know how to access or utilize it. I am not the helpful Glinda, but I do collaboratively assist my patients to define and achieve their goals by optimizing their hidden strengths and skills.
