Welcome and congratulations on taking the first step in improving your self care. Helping others has been a passion of mine since I can remember. I have been a licensed mental health counselor for 6 years and specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and major life transitions. I have had experience working in many different settings including outpatient, community and private practice.

I am a mental health counselor with a specialization in trauma. My perspective on working with clients is through a lens that traumas, both big and small, can create rifts within our selves, our personal relationships, and hinder our potential. I am trained in EMDR through an EMDR international association approved training and IFS through the IFS institute. Both modalities offer evidence based treatment for trauma. If you choose to enter therapeutic work with me you can expect a space where your feelings and experiences are validated while we work together to examine those that are challenging or not currently serving you.

Our journey is full of challenges that we have to overcome in order to get back to being happy. We experience sadness and loss. We fall completely in love only to suffer heart break. Some of us go through traumatic events such as combat or a devastating accident. These situations and many more cause us to develop feelings of fear, sadness and frustration which we do our best to manage, but typically do so in an unhealthy and maladapted way.

I believe in tailoring a treatment plan that fits the needs of each client. This is accomplished by incorporating several therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Solution Focused, and psycho-dynamic techniques to facilitate growth and wellness.
