I am a psychotherapist/researcher/ neuroscientist who studies how emotions influence our physical and emotional wellbeing. My book" Why Good Sex Matters" (Houghton, Mifflin, Harcourt, 1/2020) explores how imbalances in the wiring of the core emotional systems can disrupt our capacity for pleasure and joy--(contributing to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and general stress)--and outlines tool to rebalance the body/mind. My clients are seeking insights, tools, and skills to empower their capacity to have deeply joyful and satisfying lives. I work with them to co-create a multifaceted approach to fit their unique needs.
My specialty is to help clients design their lives from their conscious commitments rather than from emotional habits. Key to this is getting comfortable in your own skin. As a Certified Sex Therapist, Certified Relationship Specialist, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Yoga teacher and mindfulness instructor, I have powerful tools to share.
What I believe to be most unique to my practice is my willingness to share my authentic experience. Having been blessed with a predisposition to anxiety, I teach what I have needed to know.
