Although I enjoy working with people of all ages, my specialty is working with teens and young adults. Anxiety, depression, anger, family conflict, school issues, loneliness, relationship/peer issues, and/or substance use are examples of issues I have helped people work through. I believe that sometimes the coping skills we learn to manage one situation can be harmful to us in managing other situations. I want to help you learn new skills that make you feel empowered, loved, and heard.
After years of working at Brunswick High School, I know although there are similarities in our stories, there is not a one size fits all modality to work thru those issues. Instead, I integrate many different modalities into our work with CBT as the golden thread. I like to make sure each person knows they are not alone and are a valuable indiviual.
It is my job, as your therapist, to keep your story private while supporting you through developing new skills to manage diffiuclt situtaions. My goal, through humor and kindness, is to help you feel serenity and empowerment in your day to day.
