About
all my relations. as social innovator, transformative social worker, therapist, cultural-centric healer for over 35 years, i endeavor to work with families, couples and male persons- in that order- whose hearts are ready to resolve psychological issues related to oppression, racism, colorism, and historical trauma. Using cultural enrichment, my couple/family practice is designed to grow "villageousity". Through a therapy method called psychodrama, i engage clients in experiential, wholistic transformation. In the picture is also my wife, Fatima Hafiz, Ph.D. who is also available for sessions and we conduct family sessions together.
all my relations. my (our) specialty is trauma, substance abuse, and cultural alienation from ones' self and family counselor. Our work includes working with individuals, families, institutions for the purpose of resiliency, healing, and empowerment.
my (our) healing practice is wholistic, starting with sage, prayers and a healing space as needed and only as agreed upon. using various approaches from energy medicine, to nature, to chants, to affirmations, to meditations, my way is the way of the heart, embracing love, kindness and music at times.
