Coping with the aftermath of complex trauma can be challenging. It seems that once it is over the expectation is that we move on but the emotional abuse tends to linger. Learn how to navigate your way through these strong emotions and learn ways to cope. Evidenced based therapy, such as Regulation Focused Psychotherapy and Mentalization Based Therapy will be provided as we strive to increase self-awareness and learn coping skills to better manage these mixed emotions which can be overwhelming.

Learn practical ways to cope with anxiety. Improve assertive communication and end people pleasing by setting boundaries in relationships that unapologetically prioritize your own needs. Challenge self-critical thoughts that can evoke feelings of fear and self-doubt. Evidence based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, will be used to teach coping skills to help manage stress in relationships and challenge insecurities which can hamper the ability to use them. Parenting Teens after Trauma
There is an innate desire to protect our children and when they are exposed to traumatic experiences it can be challenging for us to help them manage it, especially if their overwhelming emotions are misplaced. Evidenced based therapy, specifically Mentalization Based Therapy, is used to provide coping skills to help improve your ability to be more reflective and less reactive. Cognitive behavioral therapy is another evidenced based psychotherapy that will be used to teach assertive communication skills, help set boundaries and expectations, and improve conflict resolution skills.
