Still Figuring Out Friendship in NYC
Many of us find relationships hard to navigate, especially when it comes to making new friends. This group is for those who’ve experienced developmental trauma (e.g. untreated parent w/ alcohol use, abandonment, neglect) and feel its lasting imprint on friendship in adult life. So much of building connection is learned in early childhood, and when that process is disrupted, something tender can remain unmet. Think of this group as a kind of playground for the part of you that still longs for friendship: a place to process what’s old and gently learn, practice, and try something new.
