Terri is known for her approachability and authenticity. She blends humor and empathy with an unwavering commitment to evidence-based practices and scientific principles. Terri received her Master’s in Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, where she learned to integrate rigorous biblical studies with the most recent science on mental health. She received the school’s highest honor, the Presidential Award for Academic Achievement and Contribution to the Seminary.
Her studies were focused on marriage and family and advanced issues in child counseling. Terri’s experience includes helping with child behavioral concerns, ADHD, preparing for marriage, achieving marital harmony, divorce adjustment, anxiety, depression, post-partum depression, and grief, and adjustment disorders.
Additionally, as a family pastor she is skilled in spiritual formation and life coaching. She has worked in ministry with children and marriages for many years. In her spare time you’ll find her laughing with nieces and nephews, reading a science journal, watching stand-up comedy with her son, or taking a walk to the book shop with her husband of 30 years.
