| Español As a Latina woman who grew up with many taboos related to mental health, I know how difficult it can be to open up and express our traumas. Over the years I have been able to experience firsthand what it feels like to be a mental health client, and now being a therapist, I can understand that therapy can be a little intimidating at first. That is why I am committed to helping my clients feel comfortable, being a safe and warm space for my clients to express any feelings or thoughts without being judged.
I have earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso, as well as my master of science in mental health counseling. I completed my internship at the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence. My therapeutic approach is based on cognitive behavioral therapy and existential therapy.
