I want to make you uncomfortable with how comfortable I am with the parts of you that you think will make you unlovable. Whether you’re navigating anxious attachment, religious trauma, neurodivergent parenting, or simply trying to feel safe in your own body—I help people break old patterns, regulate their nervous systems, and set boundaries without guilt. My approach is compassionate, direct, and rooted in trauma-informed care. If you’ve always felt “too much” or “not enough,” therapy with me is a space where you’ll finally make sense to yourself.

My counseling philosophy begins by receiving clients with unconditional positive regard and creating a compassionate environment where clients feel safe and supported as they seek to navigate the difficulties of life. Complicated life experiences can lead to symptoms of anxiety, depression, and potentially learned helplessness that negatively impact our self-worth and behaviors in a profound way. I believe that engaging in therapy can increase human capacity for a richer, more meaningful life by clarifying our values and determining what is truly purposeful and fulfilling for our life.

I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. My approach to therapy is eclectic in nature. I use hypnotherapy to access the subconscious and release unhelpful patterns, while drawing from existential ideas to create space for reflection on freedom, choice, and meaning. Inspired by Carl Jung's work, I also explore the role of dreams, symbols, and the unconscious in the journey of becoming authentic and whole. Whether your struggling with anxiety, depression, past trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to support you in reconnecting with your sense of meaning and possibility.

Fear creates overwhelm. Your body holds tension too long, and your mind begins to absorb beliefs like “I am incapable” or “I am worthless.” Your nervous system braces for danger even when you are safe, and over time this creates a foundation of weakness, confusion, and worry. You want peace. You know you are capable of more, yet it feels as if you keep trying but nothing happens. Peace feels distant. Hope feels out of reach. But this is not where your story ends. With the right support, your mind and body can release what has kept you stuck and rebuild strength from within. Let me help you fight, recover, and thrive!

I work with individuals and couples to expand their emotional landscape. Whether that's helping you develop language to understand your experience or building capacity to sit with what feels intolerable or overwhelming. My approach involves working with what presents itself in the here and now of sessions and looking for meaning in the larger constellation of your experience. This approach works well with individuals who are interested in knowing their inner minds more profoundly and who feel drawn to a process of dialogue and exploration around how you may get stuck in patterns that do not serve you.

I have worked in Oklahoma as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor since 2011. Over these years, I have enjoyed working in different settings with many wonderful and diverse people and populations. I love what I do and take it very seriously because I know how challenging it can be to choose yourself in the world we live in. Therapy can be hard work and making the commitment to that work (and yourself) can be daunting. It’s my goal to help you see through all of the muddy parts and realize how much you and the work are worth it.

When anxiety takes the wheel, it can feel like life is shrinking around you. You might find yourself trapped in cycles of worry, doubt, or compulsive rituals that seem to promise relief but only tighten their grip over time. Maybe you’re constantly checking, seeking reassurance, or avoiding situations that trigger fear. You want to stop overthinking every decision, silence the “what ifs,” and finally feel at peace in your own mind.

Since 2008, I've worked in both non-profit community mental health and very much for-profit private practice, which means I've gotten to work with all kinds of clients from different backgrounds and age groups to help address a remarkably broad spectrum of problems and concerns. Most of my work has been, and will continue to be, with young people- and while I've certainly loved every other minute of that, I am always eager (and occasionally desperate) to talk to another adult. My goal is for my clients to feel as comfortable and understood as possible, as soon as possible. From there, we can get to work.

A strong relationship with the counselor is essential for the counseling process. The client comes to the process with a commitment for change. Sometimes the commitment is marginal and helping fortify that commitment is the initial part of our work. I believe that my most effective work is with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family of origin issues and trauma. I work extensively with clients who have personality disorders (ingrained patterns of self defeating behavior). My practice is geared toward adolescents 13 years old through senior adults. I work with individuals and couples/families.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Therapists

What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?

By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?

Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?

It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
