I have experience working with clients of all ages in chronic illness, trauma, depression, anxiety, abusive relationships, grief, religious trauma, healthy skills for relationships, and more.
My goal as a therapist is to help others become the best version of themselves. I work with and support my clients to achieve mental and emotional well-being while discovering themselves. Too often, we shy away from help because we are ashamed, afraid, or don't understand the process. I believe everyone can benefit from time in therapy and become the author of their own story.

People often ask, “What makes you different?” Honestly, I’m a regular person who genuinely enjoys listening, connecting, and helping others find their way back to themselves. For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone rediscover their strength and joy. Some of my favorite therapy sessions feel less like formal appointments and more like meaningful conversations. I create a space where you can feel safe to open up—where trust grows naturally.

I teach couples to appreciate and enjoy their differences and individuals to show up in their own life.
The approach I take as a therapist is a coach making it a point to see you, hear you, and value you and most importantly show you how to do the same for yourself. In a judgement free space I will encourage you to pursue the bright tomorrow you believe in is possible no matter what mental, generational, relational, or past challenges try holding you back.

As such, the nature of the therapist-client relationship created by the therapist holds the key for the psychotherapy process.
I believe therapy is a sacred space for the holding, honoring, and exploring of the clients’ experiences as well as providing a secure base for appropriate attachment and facilitating corrective experiences to overcome past negative experiences. And I take a collaborative approach because of my believe in clients’ ability to harness their inherent resources.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
