I have been in Private Practice since 1993 helping individuals & Couples resolving issues & working together as a team. I utilize a psycho-educational approach with handouts & board work. I use hypnosis at times to assist the client with behavior modification. I Stopped taking insurance & lowered my fee to $75 per session. I work also with Anger Management issues. Change is constant & sometimes we can get off track & need someone to talk to and figure out how to modify & fine tune our journey & get back on track. Remember..life is like a roller coaster..we will always have ups & downs..we just don’t want to stay down....

If I were to ask you to name all the things you LOVE...how long would it take you to name your SELF? Do you feel like your not in control of your thoughts, feelings, and actions? Like your brain has a mind of it's own? Feel so tired you didn't want to get out of bed? Keep forgetting your keys, lose your train of thought, or can't seem to focus on tasks? Some days it's so bad you don't recognize yourself in the mirror or in pictures. Hopelessness becomes your daily go to feeling. You either want to sleep all day or eat everything in sight. Then comes feeling like a failure and the desire to just give up and run away. There is hope.

I help millennial women achieve life balance and foster happier relationships without losing themselves (or their minds). My clients struggle as you do. Despite being intelligent, loving, and a damn good time, life is hard. You feel burned out and overwhelmed. You're exhausted and have trouble focusing; sometimes you wonder if you have early-onset dementia (you don’t!), and you judge yourself for not being more productive. You are irritable and short and often feel disconnected and lost in your relationships. You know you "should" take better care of yourself, but when you try, you feel so guilty and selfish.

I am taking on new clients and have experience with relationships, or shall we say situationships. Humans can be difficult and I'm here to help. Maybe you stay up at night with anxiety, doomscrolling through the internet, unable to take your eyes off of the stressors of the world? And when you finally are able to disconnect, you find yourself overwhelmed by all the thoughts in your head and you begin to spiral in your mind. It's my goal as a counselor to walk you towards calm and comfort in a world that feels heavy or uncertain.

Do you ever feel like you should be over something by now, but it still lives inside you?
Maybe the anxiety, the self doubt, and the constant overthinking have worn you down. You keep showing up for everyone else, but inside you feel like you’re drifting farther from yourself. It’s hard to feel steady when old wounds were never witnessed with care, and when your emotions keep pulling you in directions you don’t understand. If you’re tired of looping through the same patterns, if your motivation feels low, or if your emotions take over before you can catch your breath, you’re not alone. Nothing in you is broken.

I hold the belief that most people are ultimately good and doing their best, but life happens and we adapt in order to survive and cope. When those adaptations are no longer helpful, they can become problematic and lead to anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and more. This is when asking for help to access or develop new insights, perspectives, and coping skills can make sense! My goal is to partner with you, the expert on yourself, in order to explore a plan that fits your unique needs.

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
