Life is often punctuated by challenging and difficult experiences. Therefore, there is need for support from an experienced helper or fellow traveler to facilitate the client to journey through those experiences. As such, the nature of the therapist-client relationship created by the therapist holds the key for the psychotherapy process. Because of my experience of working with youth, families, adults, couples, and groups in Oklahoma since 2012, I can easily build working alliances with clients, acutely attune to them, and attend to the issues they surface in therapy.

Are you struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression such as overthinking, negative self-talk, emotional disconnection, or somatic symptoms? Do you feel stuck? Do you find yourself avoiding conflict, people-pleasing, minimizing your own needs, or fearing rejection, change, and confrontation? Many of my clients are navigating difficult transitions such as breakups, divorce, family conflict, school or job changes, moves, or shifting relationships that no longer feel sustainable.

The challenges of life sometimes seem scary and overwhelming. Do you feel knocked down by life time and time again? Do you ever feel broken and overwhelmed by intense feelings of pain and distress? If so, you are not alone. Adversity is inevitable as suffering is a part of the human experience of which none of us are exempt. Throughout life, personal experiences become stories. Giving meaning to those stories ultimately help form your identity. Understanding the meaning and impact of these stories can help create space between you and the issues that are causing distress, which will allow you to make sense of your behaviors.

In the stress of today's world it is easy to feel disconnected. As we attempt to soothe the discomfort in our lives it can become difficult to cope effectively, straining our most important relationships. I enjoy working with clients who are interested in exploring how their expectations either strengthen or distort their relationships, affecting their approach to life's challenges.
