Hi, I’m Britanie and I believe healing happens in connection... and maybe over a few good laughs (and tears) along the way. I work with couples and individuals (ages 16 and up), with a heart for helping people reconnect; to themselves, to each other, and to what matters most. Whether you're showing up as a couple who feels more like roommates than teammates, or you’re coming individually carrying the emotional weight of motherhood, work, relationships, and everything else... you don’t have to do it alone. And if your faith is a meaningful part of your life, I’m happy to integrate faith-based counseling into our work together.

My goal as a therapist is to help others become the best version of themselves. I work with and support my clients to achieve mental and emotional well-being while discovering themselves. Too often, we shy away from help because we are ashamed, afraid, or don't understand the process. I believe everyone can benefit from time in therapy and become the author of their own story.

I want to work through what is important to you and help you to achieve the life you deserve.

My hours are 9-2:00pm. I have several morning and early afternoon openings. I have no after school/weekend availability.
From teen years through adulthood, women have unique and valuable experiences that deserve special care and respect. I have combined my passion for teen girls, pregnancy, birth, women, and families with my professional skills in counseling to focus on self worth, relationship skills, and reaching personal goals. I practice from an attachment and trauma perspective which means I believe much of our wounds and healing are connected to the health of our relationships, both with others and ourselves.

My passion for counseling began in 2018, ultimately leading me to earn my master’s degree and become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Though I originally started my career in music, I always felt drawn to the deeper work of walking alongside people through life’s challenges—and I’m grateful every day to do just that.
I help individuals and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, loneliness, low self-esteem, faith-related struggles, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with couples to strengthen connection, rebuild trust, and create a healthier, more fulfilling marriage.

As a compassionate and client-centered therapist, I work with a diverse range of individuals, including children (ages 9–18) and adults. I approach therapy with the belief that my clients are the experts on their own lives. My role is to support them in navigating life’s challenges and provide a safe, empathetic space where they feel heard and understood—not to "fix" them, but to walk alongside them in their journey.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
