My passion and purpose is to assist people in finding peace and healing in a way that is painless. I have observed that the imprints of some experiences have been continuing to cause pain, emotional unrest, and have been affecting how the person interacts with themselves, their loved ones, and the world. I earnestly believe that NOTHING is wrong with YOU! The problem has been with the way the mind has been processing information and through the use of Rapid Resolution Therapy we can make a significant difference in how you have been thinking, feeling, acting, and reacting.

Hi, I’m Brittny — a therapist who believes healing starts with feeling truly seen and understood (and sometimes laughing through the mess a little). As your therapist, my role is to be the person who collaborates with you to achieve the goals you already have, while also giving you new tools and skills to reach goals you didn’t know you could. I do this by supporting you during times of struggle, giving unconditional positive regard, and providing a non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable being yourself. You’ve already learned how to survive, so now it’s time to learn how to thrive.

I hold a certification in TF-CBT treatment for PTSD in children and CAMS training in treating suicidal thoughts.
Immediate openings available! Call for more information! Obsessions, compulsions, panic attacks – they all may seem unavoidable. But they don't have to be! I use evidenced-based treatments that work to help you demolish the OCD monster and get back to what's important to you – your family, your friends, your pets! If anxiety is running your life (and not the other way around), then allow me to coach you in the journey towards a rich, meaningful life! This is not one-off, chatbot therapy; this is a human-to-human intervention that can make long-lasting change for you!

You might be the one everyone leans on-the strong one, the fixer, the who one who keeps it all together. But lately, you feel tired in a way sleep doesn't fix. You overthink, replay conversations, and quietly wonder when it became hard to breathe emotionally. You show up for everyone else, yet you feel unseen, overwhelmed or disconnected from who you used to be. You may be carrying grief, relationship strain, anxiety, or a heaviness you can't quite explain-but you know something has to change. I see you!

Suicidal Ideation Therapists
How does therapy for suicidal ideation work?
Stress, depression, anxiety, or upsetting circumstances can give rise to suicidal thinking. Therapy can address the events at the core of an individual’s suffering. Understanding why a person may be suicidal can help the therapist and the patient discover alternative methods of coping. A person with suicidal ideation may be mired in catastrophic thinking, and treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy is a good choice for breaking such patterns. In addition, treatment such as acceptance and commitment therapy can help a person manage their distress through better emotion regulation.

Which therapies are best for suicidal ideation?
Specific approaches used by professionals include cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapies, among others. Cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapies are two widely used therapies that can help individuals with painful thoughts and past traumas. These therapies help an individual tolerate distress, regulate emotions, and not act on dangerous urges.

Are there specific medications to be combined with therapy?
The use of medication for suicidal thoughts must be aligned with the underlying cause; conditions such as depression, anxiety, and psychosis may be at the root of suicidal ideation. A psychiatrist may prescribe medications for symptoms, which may include antipsychotics such as aripiprazole or antidepressants such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

How often and how long are therapy sessions for suicidal ideation?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual. Patients may see improvement within 15 to 20 sessions, at an average of 50 minutes per session, while others may opt for 20 to 30 sessions over, perhaps, a six-month period. Still other patients, especially those with co-occurring conditions like major depression and anxiety, may need to continue sessions for up to 12 to 18 months. In some cases, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm.
