Have you ever felt like your light had been diminished or dulled over time due to self-doubt? Do you feel like you’ve been wearing a mask because of stress, anger, or sadness? Maybe even all three at the same time? When people ask you how you’re doing, do you simply respond, “I’m fine…” even though you feel like that dog from that meme? You know, the one who’s standing helpless in front of a burning house? Well as a therapist and as a person, I’ve been there. We ALL have been there. But ask yourself: Is the ultimate goal to become the new you? Or are you willing to break through the walls that hold you back from being the true you?

You might look like you’re holding it all together on the outside—but inside, it feels very different.
Maybe your mind won’t slow down.
Maybe you’re overthinking conversations, feeling anxious in your relationships, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change.
Or maybe you’ve been through something difficult, and your body still reacts as if it’s happening now.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and more importantly, you’re not “broken.”

Have you noticed relational issues that are getting in the way of happiness? Putting a bandaid on a childhood wound is like fertilizer on a weed. Ignoring the impact of a trauma will only incubate the emotions tied to the event. These unprocessed experiences will dominate your environment. Maybe you’ve never made the connection so you’re baffled by unexplainable negative outcomes. Whether you are developing self doubt and a diminished sense of self or feeling hopelessly helpless, therapy can help move you to a positive place of self acceptance with the space and grace to develop empathy for self and others.

My style is holistic, meaning I see you as a whole person—mind, body, emotions, and spirit. We will explore not only thoughts and feelings, but also how experiences live in the body, how energy and creativity can support healing, and how daily practices can foster long-term transformation.
I also bring in creative and expressive techniques—whether through art, journaling, movement, visualization, or mindfulness. These tools can open new pathways for self-discovery and healing, especially when words are not enough.

Gottman Method Therapists
How does the Gottman method work?
One of the core doctrines of the Gottman method is that negative emotions hurt relationships about five times more than positive emotions help them. Thus, couples require five times more positive interactions than negative interactions with each other. The therapist will guide clients on how to improve communication and understanding of each other to manage conflict and have their emotional needs met. The therapist will also advise couples on how to repair relations with each other when conflict arises, and therefore avoid lasting damage.
Is the Gottman method evidence-based?
Yes, this method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy. The method is based on more than 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, the psychologists who developed the method. The Gottmans analyzed decades of data to draw conclusions about what types of interactions are likely to lead to specific results, and which interventions are most likely to lead to success. Studies have found that this approach leads to improvements in relationship satisfaction, intimacy, communication skills, and a lower rate of divorce.
How long does the Gottman method take?
The duration of treatment depends on the specific challenges clients face. Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, and an average course of treatment is around 10 sessions. In some cases, such as for couples dealing with a critical problem, the therapist will suggest an intensive course of treatment, with daily sessions over the first two to four days. Treatment is complete when the couple is satisfied and has met the goals they’ve set, and when the therapist believes they have the skills to continue on their own.
Is the Gottman method effective?
Through the Gottman method, couples can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. This treatment has been used for more than 40 years; the method is supported by empirical research, including randomized controlled trials that have demonstrated effectiveness in improving relationship outcomes for couples. Like any talk therapy, success or failure depends in large part on how committed the clients are to making positive changes and working toward results.
