I help kids, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by stress and trauma.
My approach is trauma-informed, practical, and grounded in real-life experiences. Whether we're using play therapy, expressive arts, exploring patterns, or building new coping skill, my goal is to create a space where you don't have to explain your background, your culture, or why you've been "pushing through" for so long.

For each of us, for better or worse the past follows into our future. We enjoy comforting memories of nurturing loved ones, and the resiliance that is the gift of a coach saying it's ok, just dust off and try again. Even those of us with the best of lives have experiences that haunt, too. Hurtful comments become sources of shame and guilt. Betrayals become inability to trust. Failed efforts turn to procrastination and avoidance. Grief, grudges, worries and feelings of overwhelm are normal experiences too. When old stories seep into your present robbing you of the joy you desire, it's time to talk.

Many of my clients have spent years feeling misunderstood, “too much,” or like therapy hasn’t quite fit. They may struggle with eating disorders, dissociation, neurodivergence (ADHD/autism), adoption or attachment trauma, or navigating identity and LGBTQ+ experiences. Many are thoughtful, self-aware people who have spent years trying to understand themselves but still feel stuck in patterns with food, emotions, relationships, or overwhelm. Together we slow down, get curious about the nervous system and protective parts, and make sense of patterns that once helped you survive.

My experience has been unique from helping people with behavioral issues for school aged children, substance use, to aging adults.
Many people spend so much time taking care of everyone around them that they forget they deserve support too. You may look like you’re holding it all together on the outside while quietly feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck on the inside. Therapy can be a place where you no longer have to carry those burdens alone. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, grief, stress, burnout, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. Together, we’ll create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment and begin reconnecting with yourself in a more compassionate way.

I have worked with adults, kids, families, and couples that have struggled with: coping skills, triggers, family/couple's complexities, trauma's/abuse, anxiety/depression, self care/love, ADHD/ ADD, communication issues, setting boundaries, sexual identity, sexual issues, health issues, self harm, suicidal thoughts, behavioral problems, and some addictions.
●Now Accepting Virtual Clients via private practiceEMDR is my passion to teach by identifying fears that magnify life. I utilize the concepts of negative beliefs that subconsciously drive our behaviors, and cause harm. Knowing yourself, and why you're are motivated is dire in identifying your true authentic being. I have been working with clients since 2018, and I have a passion to prove that Everyone has mental health, and if a person doesn't believe this, then they are missing out on the ability to have agency over their life. The goal is not happiness, but the implementation of balance with more realistic interpretations of life.

FAQ - About Child Therapy
When does a child need to see a therapist?
Children naturally experience emotional ups and downs. Sometimes, though, they need support from a professional. A child may benefit from therapy if their emotions or behaviors change significantly within a short period of time. For example, if a child usually spends time with friends after school but begins isolating in their room, further inquiry is warranted. Other areas for concern include altered sleep patterns, lack of appetite, intense anger, irritability, or hopelessness, or developmental regression in young children (bedwetting, thumb-sucking).

What can a child therapist help with?
A therapist can help with any difficult experience a child may encounter growing up, including learning problems or anxiety related to school, relationship challenges with friends or parents, bullying, intense emotions or phobias, divorce and family dynamics, or the death of a pet or loved one. A therapist can help children process their experience and develop coping skills in an age-appropriate way

What therapy types are most suitable for children?
Children can benefit from different forms of therapy, including family therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and exposure therapy, depending on their condition. Play therapy is a great option for younger children who may not be able to fully articulate their feelings. In this approach, kids play with toys and games while a therapist observes and helps the child express their emotions and develop coping skills.

Do I need to attend therapy with my child?
Parents are an integral part of a child’s therapy, but the specifics of their involvement vary. If your child is young, you may attend most or all sessions; if your child is older, you may attend a few sessions or none; sometimes a therapist may ask you to have a session on your own. Whatever the arrangement, you should expect to work collaboratively with the therapist, your child, and your family members to take steps to help support your child.

How can I tell if a therapist is a good fit for my child?
A child needs to feel comfortable opening up about their thoughts and feelings, so if your child feels a sense of comfort, ease, and trust with their therapist, that’s a great sign. In addition, a therapist is a good fit for your child if the two can communicate well together; a clinician should be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in an age-appropriate manner.
