I believe that people deserve to be wholly well. I aim to help people fall in love with the life they are living. If you frequently feel as though you are walking through the motions of life and are just existing, you deserve more. If you feel like you can’t break the cycles that constantly set you back, you deserve freedom. You deserve to wake up excited and content with your life.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding the right fit matters. I am currently accepting new clients and offer private-pay counseling in rural Oklahoma, with both in-person and telehealth options available. I provide individualized, compassionate counseling tailored to each person’s unique needs, recognizing that no two healing journeys look the same. My approach is holistic and collaborative, focusing on the whole person rather than just symptoms.

Hi and welcome to Leah Brady Counseling! Some of my favorite therapy sessions feel less like formal appointments and more like meaningful conversations. I create a space where you can feel safe to open up—where trust grows naturally. As a therapist, I often bear witness to some of life’s hardest moments: heartbreak, shame, fear, and grief. I don’t take that lightly. I’m honored every time someone chooses to share their story with me. I see my role as someone who holds your story with care—confidentially and without judgment.

Many of the people I work with are struggling with addiction, recovery, or the pressure of trying to keep life together while battling something privately. You don’t have to face that alone.

I specialize in helping women navigate depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use, and life transitions, using a warm, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based approach.
For my ladies who struggle with feeling paralyzed from anxiety or depression, trauma and spiritual hurt, difficult family relationships, or feeling the weight of life transitions... I'm here for you. As Ecclesiastes teaches us, there is a season and a time for every matter. If this is your time of weeping or your time of laughing, your time of mourning or your time of joy, your time of silence or your time to speak, I would be honored to sit beside you through it all.

My goal as a therapist is to understand where you are in life and work to overcome the difficulties you are facing. I believe that the most important thing I can do as a therapist is to provide unconditional positive regard and a non-judgemental attitude, as well as research-based treatment. My preference is to take a more holistic approach addressing the body, soul and spirit.

Substance Use Therapists
How do substance and drug recovery or rehabilitation programs work?
In inpatient programs, individuals live in a facility with other clients in recovery; in outpatient programs, individuals reside at home. These facilities are staffed with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, psychologists, counselors, and psychotherapists. Staff often also includes people who have recovered themselves, serving as mentors and guides. These programs may use abstinence, harm reduction, detoxification, psychotherapy, and other methods.

How do 12-step programs combined with psychotherapy work?
Members of 12-step programs help each other reach abstinence and work to maintain it. These programs promote complete change in the individual’s emotional, mental, physical, and even spiritual perspectives. Some programs require that new members attend 90 meetings in 90 days. Many people do attend these programs in conjunction with their work in psychotherapy; the combination of therapy along with 12-step can be extremely effective.

How does harm reduction combined with psychotherapy work?
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, harm reduction prevents death, injury, disease, overdose, and substance misuse. People who choose harm reduction for substance use reduce the amount of drugs they consume. It is not abstinence-based like a 12-step program, but combining harm reduction with psychotherapy proves to be effective for many people.

Are there specific medications for substance and drug use?
There are medications approved to treat substance use disorder—such as buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone, and acamprosate. These medications do help people cope with substance use as well as avoid the problem of relapse. Naltrexone can help reduce cravings, methadone is an opioid medication used to treat severe pain, and acamprosate may help ease symptoms like poor sleep and anxious feelings.
