Hi and welcome to Leah Brady Counseling! Some of my favorite therapy sessions feel less like formal appointments and more like meaningful conversations. I create a space where you can feel safe to open up—where trust grows naturally. As a therapist, I often bear witness to some of life’s hardest moments: heartbreak, shame, fear, and grief. I don’t take that lightly. I’m honored every time someone chooses to share their story with me. I see my role as someone who holds your story with care—confidentially and without judgment.

Currently has openings for NEW clients! Parenthood. It's meant to be a joy, a miracle, a time of overflowing love. But sometimes, the journey takes unexpected turns, leaving you feeling lost, overwhelmed, and alone. As a Licensed Master Social Worker trained in Perinatal Mental Health, I understand these struggles firsthand. I'm not just a clinician; I'm a mother of two who has navigated the twists and turns of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood myself. And through my own experiences, I've discovered a passion for supporting others as they walk similar paths.

These are the treatment types I use, and this is what your experience will be like: In my work as a therapist, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy ( EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, and Person-Centered Therapy, all integrated with a Christian worldview.
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start? Struggling in your marriage, your family, or within yourself? You don’t have to face it alone. I work with individuals, couples, families, and children who are ready to grow, heal, and strengthen their relationships. Together, we’ll navigate the hard moments, process pain, and build practical tools for lasting change—always with compassion, understanding, and Christ-centered guidance. I’ll meet you where you are, but I won’t leave you there. Step by step, we’ll walk toward the person, couple, or family you’re meant to be.

I offer a collaborative, process-oriented approach grounded in DBT, ACT, and EFT.
I work with individuals, families, and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns they don’t fully understand. Clients often come in navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, or relationship challenges that impact connection and daily functioning. Together, we slow down to explore these patterns, make sense of emotional experiences, and identify what matters most. Through a collaborative and process-oriented approach, I support clients in building awareness, strengthening relationships, and moving toward meaningful, values-driven change.

Do you find yourself feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and at times hopeless? You are not alone; I will walk alongside you as you explore and process the difficulties you are facing. I create a safe nonjudgmental space where you can feel “truly” heard and understood. I offer a client-centered, holistic, and humanistic approach to counseling. I believe in helping clients break free from destructive behaviors and begin to heal the mind, body, and spirit. I do not believe that a person needs repair rather focusing on helping the person release what already lies within “you are valuable” “you are enough” and “you are worthy”.

I believe that a sense of connectedness to others is vital for one’s mental health and enjoy helping clients to restore their sense of connection whether it be within themselves or their relationships. Mental health is my passion, and I am dedicated to helping others overcome their struggles and live life on their own terms. We can’t always change our circumstances however we can change how we choose to exist within them.

Emotionally Focused Therapists
Who is emotionally focused therapy for?
Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is for couples who are emotionally distressed, stuck in an unsatisfying relationship pattern or feeling deeply alienated. They may even believe the relationship is beyond repair. Very often, the partners display intense anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal in the relationship. In addition, EFT is helpful to couples and individuals who have difficulty expressing emotions and those who have trouble regulating emotions.

Why do people need emotionally focused therapy?
People need emotionally focused therapy because the need for others is built into the brain, but the pressures of daily life can erode feelings of love, and couples often do not have the skills to find their way back to the comfort of each other. Instead, they may be stuck in repetitive patterns of anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal. Emotionally focused therapy regards such strong negative feelings as expressions of protest over the loss of connection and turns them into pathways of reconnection.

What happens in emotionally focused therapy?
Over the course of eight to 20 weekly sessions, couples de-escalate their negative emotional reactivity to one another so that they can listen to each other and be responsive to each other’s needs. Then the deep emotional and physical bond is restored, giving partners a sense of comfort and security, which they can use to solve whatever problems come their way. The therapist plays an active role, helping partners understand how anger and withdrawal are actually misguided cries for connection.

What problems does emotionally focused therapy treat?
EFT is designed to help couples stuck in dysfunctional relationship patterns regain closeness and rebuild their relationship. Typically, such couples experience considerable distress, with partners feeling alienated and distrustful of one another, not certain their relationship can survive. EFT is also helpful to individuals experiencing attachment-related fears of loss; it helps them learn to use their fears as a way of eliciting the closeness they desire.
