I work with adults, including active duty service members and first responders, who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma exposure, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in high-stress patterns that are difficult to step out of alone. They’re often seeking relief, clarity, and a more sustainable way to manage both work and personal demands.

I believe that everyone is doing the best they can in the process of living! Sometimes, when problems arise, it is helpful to have someone with an outside perspective to help navigate these struggles. This is what I offer. It is important to me to provide a space where clients receive unconditional positive regard and where we work together as a collaborative team. I practice evidence based therapy which means we will create an action plan that is effective in relieving distress. I believe in an individualized approach that incorporates techniques that make sense to the client and are successful in bringing relief.

Hello! I am proud of the many roles I have held in my life which include educator, victim advocate, mom, wife and now therapist. I put my heart into everything I do. I am excited to partner with people on their transformation journey by offering a caring, safe space to heal. My heart is to work with people on getting out of generational cycles of trauma, the deep pit of declining mental health, and those that feel out of control in their own minds. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest, with no chains holding us back. I want to partner with someone right where they are at to find the light in the darkness. It's there!

As your therapist, my role is to be the person who collaborates with you to achieve the goals you already have, while also giving you new tools and skills to reach goals you didn’t know you could. I do this by supporting you during times of struggle, giving unconditional positive regard, and providing a non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable being yourself. You’ve already learned how to survive, so now it’s time to learn how to thrive.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or carrying experiences that still live in your body, you’re not broken — you’re responding to what you’ve lived through. I work with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, military sexual trauma (MST), adverse childhood experiences, and chronic stress. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, emotional dysregulation, self-criticism, trust, or feeling constantly on edge. Others feel numb, exhausted, or unsure how to feel safe again.

Let’s skip the cliché therapy line about “what brought you here today” and get to the part where I say I’m genuinely glad you’re here. Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable but choosing to prioritize yourself matters. I work with adults navigating dysfunctional family dynamics, trauma, anxiety, and bipolar or borderline patterns, couples wanting healthier communication/connection, and first responders carrying the pressure and emotional weight that comes with the job. My approach is engaged, honest, and direct, while still making space for you to feel comfortable being fully human in the room. I offer telehealth across Oklahoma.

Cognitive Processing (CPT) Therapists
How does cognitive processing therapy work?
A CPT therapist helps a client evaluate their thoughts about the trauma they experienced, focusing on maladaptive or self-blaming thoughts that can exacerbate symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, or depression. The therapist will work with a client to help them learn to challenge such thoughts and consider different perspectives. The therapist is also likely to ask a client to work on these techniques at home between meetings, such as writing an account of their trauma that can be read aloud during a future session.

What is cognitive processing therapy for PTSD?
Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy primarily used in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to treat individuals who experienced abuse or violence, who survived natural disasters, who were first responders to such incidents, or who otherwise experienced trauma.

How long does cognitive processing therapy last?
CPT is a short-term therapy. Whether conducted one-on-one or in a group, a complete set of CPT sessions typically includes 12 weekly sessions, along with tasks for clients to complete at home, although this can vary depending on a client’s needs or a therapist’s particular treatment plan. Sessions typically last 60 or 90 minutes.

How effective is cognitive processing therapy?
A large body of research supports the use of CPT to treat people experiencing PTSD, finding it to be effective among different age groups, either in one-on-one therapy sessions or in a group therapy environment. Research suggests that although the initial sessions may be difficult, clients tend to begin to feel positive progress after the first few sessions, and that the benefits tend to last well after the therapy ends.
