I am an independently licensed psychotherapist and owner of a private practice in North Kingstown; OK Counseling Center. With a diverse artistic and academic background I am consistently creating original and distinct paths to attainment. I have 15+ years of experience working in agencies and schools as a guidance counselor addressing the various emotional needs of school-aged children. I am committed to serving children and adults, as well as adolescents and their families, both in individual and group settings.
The cornerstone of my work has been to promote autonomy while preserving each person's individuality. I specialize in emotional and behavioral issues and provide services to treat depression, anxiety, self esteem, Autism, ADHD, school/career issues, parenting support, trauma, LGBT, eating disorders, relationship difficulties and various types of adjustments.
My goal in treatment is to expand ones thought process while providing long-term solutions that better the mind, body, and soul. I am highly qualified in a variety of modalities including mindfulness training and both art/music therapy. Other interventions used draw from CBT, DBT and person-centered therapy.
