Announcement icon In response to COVID-19 precautions, I continue to offer flexible telepsych appointments via an online doctors video portal.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I'm qualified to care for individuals who may be facing life stressors, such as discrimination, gender identity issues, sexuality issues, loss of relationships, or life transitions. I also treat those who may be facing painful or severe psychiatric symptoms related to borderline personality traits, major depression, bipolar disorder, panic or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I provide clinical intervention through evidenced based psychotherapy practices, provide diagnoses counseling or second opinions.
Collaboratively approaching all clients to help define & acknowledge self-worth. Guiding individuals using interventions rooted in identifying, developing, & maintaining effective thoughts & behaviors that support a life worth living. Empowering you to develop coping skills to soothe difficult/painful emotions rather than pushing them away. This may improve mindfulness & well-being.
Offering walking therapy now! Imagine walking therapy as a contemporary alternative to classical psychoanalysis; without laying on the couch waiting for something magical, engage in treatment more naturally--mindfully experiencing various sensations of the environment walking side-by-side. Other specialties: personal identity conflicts, topics related to discrimination, and DBT.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy Psychoeducation Group

A basic introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT is a form of psychotherapy that was originally conceptualized by Marsha M. Linehan. DBT combines standard cognitive-behavioral techniques for emotion regulation and reality-testing with concepts of distress tolerance, acceptance, and mindful awareness derived from Buddhist meditative practice.A common theory supporting DBT is that we began forming inaccurate beliefs about the past, unrealistic expectations about the present, and unattainable desires for the future; which results in emotional distress and inappropriate behaviors. DBT is a skills-based approach that teaches group members how to better manage overwhelming emotions, impulsivity, and life.
