I help young children, teens, and caregivers (especially from multicultural backgrounds) who are navigating big emotions, challenging behaviors, or the impact of stress and trauma. I've met many overwhelmed families, unsure how to support their child, seeking care that truly understands and fits their unique context. I specialize in early childhood behavioral therapy and family‑centered trauma care, helping young people feel seen and helping caregivers feel encouraged as they build stronger, more connected relationships. My services are conveniently virtual so families can build healthy patterns within their natural home setting.

I am also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) and can support clients in resolving sleep difficulties.
I have worked with many clients who feel that everything they do, everything about them is just "wrong", not enough, not worthy. I strive to help clients understand that they are deserving of connection, acceptance and peace regardless of what past experience, other people, or even their own mind might be telling them. My approach is collaborative, incorporating curiosity, authenticity, openness and humor. It is through this collaborative process that I am able to help individuals gain insight into long held beliefs and patterns of behavior and to ultimately develop new ways of relating to themselves and others.

It's exhausting, but you don't really know how to relax and probably don't sleep welll.
I get it because I've been there. I've helped hundreds of anxious perfectionists feel like they can breathe again. I aim for the root of anxiety, perfectionism, & chronic guilt in ways that I've honed over 7 years of practice. I blend art therapy, parts work, & other therapy techniques to help you feel unburdened, deeply rested, and unapologetically joyful.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
