I treat children/teens with special needs, divorced/separated parents, school/family issues, as well as working with adults/couples experiencing life changes.
I feel it is important to offer expert quality care that is compassionate, and tailored to each person's uniqueness as an individual. I have 38 years of clinical experience working with children, teens, families, and adults facing various life challenges. Time passes quickly. We often spend our days unhappy, and stressed. Sometimes it can be difficult to see beyond the hardships, and realize what matters most to us. If you can't change a situation, change your perspective.

Hi, I’m glad you're here. I'm Billi, and I have been helping adults and adolescents overcome and heal from some of life's more difficult challenges for over 10 years. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to understand and address the issues you’re facing and I will be there to support you every step of the way. My approach is warm, nurturing, and thoughtful creating a safe space where you can explore your feelings, find clarity, and heal. I also believe in the power of humor, so while the process of healing can be deep and challenging it doesn’t have to be serious work all the time.

Most people who reach out for therapy feel overwhelmed, stuck, or tired of the same patterns playing out in their life or relationships. On the surface, things may look fine, but internally something feels off. You might feel anxious, disconnected, or unsure why you keep reacting the way you do.
I’m Zac Spoon, a licensed professional clinical counselor in Troy, Ohio. A lot of what we struggle with takes shape in relationships, and healing often happens there too. In our work, we slow things down and make sense of these patterns so they don’t keep repeating.

I'm accepting new clients! Seeking therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. Many of the people I work with are capable, resilient adults who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns shaped by stress, trauma, or life transitions. You may look “fine” on the outside, but inside you’re struggling to find balance, clarity, or relief.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.
When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.
How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
