Whether you want to feel better, sleep better, think and focus better, communicate better, have a better connection with people, it all comes down to living a better life. I help people to achieve any goal, whether it's using hypnosis to kick a bad habit, such as smoking or overeating; or changing negative beliefs, such as not being good enough; or tending to grief and loss by obtaining closure, insight or a deeper understanding of why something ended the way it did, or learning meditation and mindfulness to assist with reaching their full potential. I create a customized approach that suits each client's individual preferences.

Your Spirit’s Light Is Dim: Disconnected from your passion, your drive, your intuition. Even when you think you’re doing everything “right,” your heart feels far from peace. There’s a deep weariness, like something essential has gone quiet inside you. You crave renewal and peace that reaches your soul. You’ve read the self-help books, tried the breathing techniques, but still something feels off. It’s an ache you can’t ease with logic alone. You’re ready for healing that touches the unseen places. But you are afraid that any professional you seek out will not understand your Spiritual Path, maybe even view it as a sign of sickness

Do you struggle to be present, open up, and do what matters? Do you want to engage in life and relationships in a way that feels aligned with your values? In our fast paced (putting it lightly) world, it can be hard to slow down, listen to what you need, or make sense of your unique story and its impact on the Here and Now. The work I do tends to resonate with folks who are looking to develop a mindfulness practice, personal ritual, and exploration of their internal world. This work is also informed by who I am outside of counseling: an ardent student of yoga, art enthusiast, lover of the great outdoors, and mom.

I can help if...A small voice in your head tells you that something big needs to change. If you are tired of your internal experience of your self not matching the person that you live as day-to-day. If you feel exhausted comparing yourself to others, wanting to live the way you see other people living, yet struggling to make consistent and meaningful change. I can help guide and be with you as you recover from the lies and loss of trauma. These traumas and emotional imprints so often derive from our family or origin, current and past intimate relationships and the slow grind of neglect, invalidation and feeling alone.

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
