Are you noticing the same patterns showing up in your life and relationships—no matter how much you try to change them?
At some point, insight alone isn’t enough. You may understand why you do what you do, but still feel stuck repeating it.
I work with adults who are ready to go deeper than surface-level coping. Together, we look at how your past experiences, family dynamics, and internal patterns are shaping your current life - often in ways that are hard to see on your own.

You believe that if people get to know you they won't like you. You call yourself mean names when things go wrong. You rely solely on yourself because reaching out isn't worth it. The daily sense of worthlessness, uselessness or feeling unwanted in the world is a heavy burden to carry. It makes everything you do ten times harder as you risk feeling even more pain. But you do want help. You're here reading. You do still have the tiny hope that something out there might be able to help.

You've done the reading. You've tried the coping skills. You've held it together for everyone else. And still there's something underneath that hasn't moved.
Maybe it's a betrayal you can't stop replaying. A relationship that ended you in ways you haven't been able to name. A version of yourself you gave away so gradually you didn't notice until she was gone. Or a body that carries something your words haven't caught up to yet. My office is the one hour a week where you don't have to manage how you come across. Where we can talk about what actually happened, the shame, the pain, the anger, the parts of yourself you've hidden.

You know this sudden rush of emotions, when your heart is racing with memories of a time long gone but not forgotten? Maybe your palms are getting damp, and you feel your throat tightening - almost choking - as you remember painful memories of either childhood abuse, a painful breakup, or other shadows of the past, it's like being caught in a storm of past pain with a ton of emotions.
Life is rough and now more than ever you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and uncertain about how they should manage their relationships, careers, and lives. However, you don’t have to walk through this alone.

As a Brainspotting practitioner, I believe in the power of somatic bottom-up approaches.
We all share human experience of facing challenges, seeking understanding, and desiring emotional well-being. I've lived with the challenges of navigating life between two cultures, enduring the complexities and confusion that often accompany such a unique upbringing. My lived experience ignited me to develop a skill set to effectively support other women, mothers and children of immigrants living in the diaspora. As a MENA/SWANA therapist, I understand this step can be daunting. I hope you take comfort in me being here to support you on your journey and guide you towards discovering the inherent healing power within yourself.

My approach is body-based and relational — EFT, Gottman, somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR.
I specialize in couples, anxiety, and perinatal mental health. Much of my work happens at the intersection of relationships and the nervous system — helping people understand not just what they're feeling, but why their body and patterns keep returning there. I also offer intensive sessions for individuals and couples ready to go deep in a concentrated way.

You might look like you’re holding everything together on the outside—but underneath, feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted.
Many of the people I work with are used to pushing through, managing responsibilities, and being there for others—but struggle with emotional overwhelm, stress, or patterns they can’t seem to break.
I specialize in trauma, attachment, and addiction, helping clients understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and feel more in control of their responses. My approach is both supportive and focused—we don’t just talk, we work toward meaningful, lasting change.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
