I also offer pre- marital counseling/skills training and outdoor walk and talk therapy.
Taking the first steps toward asking for help requires a great deal of self-awareness and courage, so you are already moving in the direction of growth. And, as difficult as the journey of healing and self-discovery can be, you are never alone. Whether you struggle with past trauma, current crises or life stressors, toxic family dynamics, or a pervasive mood disorder like depression or anxiety, I am here for you. I will never judge, condemn, or ridicule you. I am here to provide empathy, support, guidance, and validation throughout the counseling process.

I specialize in early childhood and family therapy, supporting children and caregivers through anxiety, ADHD, and emotional regulation challenges. You may be a parent feeling overwhelmed, worried about your child’s big emotions, behavior, or struggles at home or school, or unsure how to best support your child while managing your own stress. You’re looking for guidance that feels compassionate, practical, and grounded in understanding—not judgment. You want support that helps your child feel safe and understood, while also helping you feel more confident, connected, and supported as a caregiver or individual.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Grief Professional (CGP), and clinician trained in Levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, I help individuals and couples explore what’s getting in the way of closeness and self-compassion.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling disconnected—from themselves, their relationships, or the life they thought they’d be living. They might be carrying grief, navigating a difficult transition, or feeling the strain of trying to hold everything together. What they want most is to feel understood, to rebuild connection, and to find a sense of balance again. In our work together, I provide a supportive and transparent space where healing feels genuine and attainable. My approach is honest, compassionate, and sprinkled with humor, because I believe healing happens best when therapy feels human, not clinical.

This allows treatment, growth, and support to be possible for an array of issues; personal trauma, infidelity- current or past, or addiction on the account of your partner.
Relationships are unavoidable and make the world go round, but when they go wrong it can feel devastating. The relationship we have with ourselves is considered the most important, as we must be in a healthy place to interact and successfully bond with others. Often times past trauma can be exacerbated or triggered by our relationships with others- whether unintentional or due to the relationship itself consisting of abusive or unhealthy facets. It is imperative to work to resolve any trauma, so that it doesn't continue to dampen your happiness and quality of relationship with yourself and others.

Marriage Counseling Therapists
How does marriage counseling work?
Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.

How long does marriage counseling typically last?
Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.

Is marriage counseling effective?
Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.

Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?
Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
