I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodivergent-affirming care, including ADHD, autism, and sensory sensitivities.
You’re tired of watching yourself or your child go through the same challenges day after day—trying so hard to break patterns that just keep repeating. You know something needs to shift, and you find yourself wanting something deeper or different than just pushing through or talking about the same thing over and over, without real relief or lasting change. Sometimes it’s not that you don’t understand what’s going on—it’s that you’re looking for a different approach, one that feels more lasting, creative, and actually reaches what’s underneath.

I create a safe and accepting space for clients who are coping with symptoms of anxiety and depression, and perinatal mood disorders including processing birth trauma and adjusting to the newborn period.
I am passionate about supporting clients as they face significant life transitions such as becoming a parent, grieving the loss of a loved one, rethinking their career, or working through challenging relationships. I work collaboratively with clients to identify, accept, and reduce unhelpful thoughts and behaviors; build on strengths; and clarify personal values and goals. Many of my clients come to counseling because they feel overwhelmed by the balancing act of life. They are often struggling to meet expectations in their personal and professional life while sacrificing their physical and emotional needs.

From the outside, they may seem capable and successful, while internally struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, or disconnection.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who carry significant responsibilities in their personal and professional lives. They may be entrepreneurs, caregivers, students, corporate leaders, community advocates, or stay-at-home parents who often prioritize others while leaving little space for themselves. They may be navigating relationship challenges, demanding careers, major life transitions, or periods of feeling overwhelmed, while also seeking support as they pursue meaningful personal or professional goals.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, people-pleasing, shame, self-doubt, depression or other complex emotions, you don’t have to go through this alone.
I utilize an integrative approach of both cognitive behavioral therapy and internal family systems in order to identify harmful thought patterns in your life and reframe them into a more effective inner monologue. I work with teenagers, college students, and adults, offering a safe, compassionate space where healing happens at your own pace.

I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, chronic stress, difficult relationships, and patterns that feel hard to change.
Therapy can be more than talking about the same problem week after week. Together, we identify the experiences, beliefs, body responses, and patterns keeping you stuck and choose strategies that fit how you process information and emotion. I also offer therapy intensives for clients wanting focused, extended time to work on a specific concern and direction.

My specialties are young adults, as well as adults experiencing depression, anxiety, painful life transitions and those who have a history of trauma.
Pain and, often, trauma are a normal part of our humanity. Unless there is healing, the pain and/or trauma leave wounds that accompany us throughout our lives. It is my belief and experience these wounds can be healed. I’ve encountered personal healing and have had the privilege of facilitating the healing of others. As wounds heal, our true Self is able to expand, grow and awaken into its true nature, allowing us to live happier, freer and more peaceful.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
