You may feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that keep repeating, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Many people seek therapy when they’re ready for change but aren’t sure where to start. I work with individuals who want to improve their emotional well-being and create more balance and purpose in their lives. Together we explore patterns, process difficult experiences, and build practical tools for lasting change. I often work with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, or life transitions.

Are you hoping to integrate your faith into care? Unsure of what to do next? I want to walk with you or your child in taking steps to alleviate your pain and problems. It can be scary starting something new and facing challenges, but I hope that together we can make the process one of hope and healing. Further, if you are Christian or Catholic I could be a good fit as I can integrate this into therapy if desired.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I help individuals, couples, and families navigate relationship challenges, anxiety, trauma, betrayal, emotional abuse, codependency, trust issues, communication difficulties, and the impact of addiction on relationships. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling to set boundaries, losing themselves in relationships, or feeling disconnected from who they are and the people they care about most. Together, we work to build self-worth, strengthen relationships, break unhealthy cycles, and create meaningful, lasting change.

You’re doing a lot to keep things together—but underneath, it still feels overwhelming. Maybe you and your partner keep having the same argument and nothing actually changes. Maybe your child is struggling and you’re second-guessing everything. Or maybe you’re the one holding it all, and you’re exhausted, anxious, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break. This is where we slow things down and figure out what’s really going on. I use approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman-informed work, Family Systems, EMDR, and CBT—but more importantly, I tailor things to what actually fits you and your situation.

Our ideal clients are individuals, partners, or families navigating change, pain, or uncertainty. They may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves or each other. Often capable on the outside, they struggle internally with anxiety, grief, trauma, or self-doubt. They need a safe, nonjudgmental space to feel seen, understood, and supported. Their goals include relief from distress, stronger connection, emotional clarity, and healthier patterns. They seek therapy not because they are broken, but because they are ready for healing, growth, and more authentic, balanced lives—together or on their own.

Every day seems overwhelming, and often finding a few minutes to focus on your own needs seems impossible, it can feel as if you may never be happy again. Some days it takes everything you have to get through the day, and you wonder, "is this the best my life is going to be?" In the morning it takes all that you have to get out of bed, and at night, you lay awake, unable to sleep, due to worry, fear, and feeling things are just hopeless. It can be scary to reach out to a counselor, you just want to find someone who understands and doesn't judge. Experiencing depression or anxiety is nothing to be ashamed of, it isn't your fault.

Do you feel weighed down by memories that won’t let go, anxiety that keeps your body on high alert, or the pressure to hold it all together when you’re running on empty? Maybe you’ve spent years serving others, whether on the frontlines, in the hospital, or at home, yet inside you feel exhausted, disconnected, or stuck. You may long for peace, balance, and a way to trust yourself again. Together, we can untangle the pain of past experiences, calm the overwhelm, and build tools that help you feel grounded, resilient, and able to thrive instead of just survive.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
