Medical Mutual Therapists in Kettering, OH
I am a direct, no-nonsense professional who has devoted my 40+ year career to helping people improve their lives. I work with adults and seniors (individual/couples) who are motivated to change. I work with children and teens within the structure of their families to resolve communication and behavioral difficulties. I have extensive experience working with adoptive (Reactive Attachment) and step families. If you are frustrated trying to connect with someone you love, outside intervention can help. Most often, that which is experienced as an emotional impasse, is an opportunity for growth.

If you are interested in services with me, please contact the group where I practice, Hearthstone Psychology. They will add you to our intake list, and you are welcome to request working with me. I accept new clients intermittently. The practice maintains a waitlist and can also offer to match you with a therapist who can meet your needs and potentially see you sooner.
Most of my time is spent in sessions with clients so I am unable to monitor direct messages on Psychology Today. Calls are forwarded to Hearthstone for timely support. I wish you the very best in finding the support that feels right for you.

In our post-Covid and politically and culturally anxious world my clients seem to be showing me that more than ever we need to identify our resilience, daily purpose and our internal "signal" versus the chaotic noise all around us! I have over 30 years of experience with lots of clients, issues, and situations, with individuals and couples. I work holistically, helping to identify what you need cognitively, emotionally, physically, and spiritually to live your best life. Let's identify life patterns that are not serving you well in relationship, work, or self-identity or are keeping you anxious or down. Let's identify strengths!

At this time I am primarily self pay but do accept Aetna and Medical Mutual.
I specialize in working with women (ages 16-45) who experience anxiety, obsessive or intrusive thoughts, and patterns that can feel hard to break—particularly in the context of challenging relationships or life transitions like pregnancy and the postpartum period. Whether you’re feeling stuck in cycles of worry and uncertainty, questioning yourself in relationships, or adjusting to the identity shifts of motherhood, therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself in a steady, supportive way.

Some weeks you're holding it together. Other weeks a small thing, a comment from your boss, a forgotten text, a Sunday afternoon alone, can knock the whole week sideways. If your inner critic has gotten louder lately, or you're tired of explaining yourself to people who don't quite get it, you're in the right place.
I work with women and young adults who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-doubt, and the weight of past experiences that still show up in the present.
