I'm Kristen, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and Indiana, and I help individuals and couples move from surviving to actually feeling like themselves again — with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion than they thought possible. My approach is collaborative and judgment-free. That means I take my cues from you. Some clients need a space to finally say the things they've never said out loud. Others want practical tools to quiet the anxiety or OCD spiral that keeps showing up. Most need both — and we'll figure out what works for you.

Limiting NEW clients primarily to those interested in GROUP therapy; I have some openings for individual clients seeking eating disorder (ED) treatment. I prioritize space for group clients to be seen 1 on 1. See group listings; ED group for EATING disorder/BODY image related issues; DUAL Mental Health and Substance Abuse support; general MH (mental health) SKILLS group (lead by counseling intern). Having the right support can make recovery possible. Our agency has option for your psychiatry or peer support services; you can retain your own individual counselor if you’re seeking just to add one of the groups.

If you are interested in services with me, please contact the group where I practice, Hearthstone Psychology. They will add you to our intake list, and you are welcome to request working with me. I accept new clients intermittently. The practice maintains a waitlist and can also offer to match you with a therapist who can meet your needs and potentially see you sooner. Most of my time is spent in sessions with clients so I am unable to monitor direct messages on Psychology Today. Calls are forwarded to Hearthstone for timely support. I wish you the very best in finding the support that feels right for you.

Some weeks you're holding it together. Other weeks a small thing, a comment from your boss, a forgotten text, a Sunday afternoon alone, can knock the whole week sideways. If your inner critic has gotten louder lately, or you're tired of explaining yourself to people who don't quite get it, you're in the right place. I work with women and young adults who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-doubt, and the weight of past experiences that still show up in the present.

There are many reasons to seek therapy. Do you want to learn and try new coping skills? Do you want to improve a relationship? Do you want help working through a problem in your life? I can help. I offer therapy in-person or online and have evening availability.

Our approach to therapy is one in which our clients are viewed as resilient and resourceful. Our office is a place where change happens. I am now offering Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to our practice. Horses are extremely intuitive animals and are able to help facilitate change on an emotional relational level that enhances the healing process.I have had a long interest in horses and find a healing effect to be activated when in their presence. This realization was probably the most important driving force that propelled me into this horse/person connection as a modality for treatment.
