You might look like you have it together on the outside but inside, your mind won’t slow down. Anxiety, pressure, or past experiences can make even everyday life feel exhausting. You’re constantly thinking, pushing, and trying to keep up… but it never really feels like enough. You don’t have to keep carrying that alone. I work with people who are used to being the strong one, the ones others rely on, who are ready to finally feel more steady, clear, and in control again. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and build a way forward that actually feels sustainable.

Hello! My name is Jennifer (Jen) Scholl and I'm a licensed independent social worker. I started in the field way back in 2009, took a break to be a full-time mom, and got back to work when I finished my MSW in 2018. I work with adults and couples. I work with families but adults only. I utilize a person-centered approach. You lead the session and direct what you want to work on, and I will facilitate and support you. I respect your boundaries and will never push you beyond what you are ready to handle. Therapy can be hard, but it shouldn't be traumatic!

The world feels like a dumpster fire right now—if you're feeling untethered, disconnected, or just plain exhausted, you're not alone. Maybe you’re thinking: “I need a change but don’t know where to start,” or “I’m so tired, I just don’t know what to do.” Whether you're questioning your identity, your relationships, or the point of it all, it’s okay to not have answers yet. I work with adults, teens, couples, and families to help make sense of that “off” feeling—and find your way forward. Tip of the Week: When you’re overwhelmed, start small. Pick one thing today that feels doable—and let that be enough.

You look like you’re holding it together but internally you’re overthinking, second-guessing, or feeling on edge. You may replay conversations, feel responsible for others’ emotions, or struggle to fully relax even when nothing’s wrong. Many of my clients learned early to stay invisible or push through without support, and now feel stuck in anxiety, shutdown, or exhaustion. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression to help break these patterns, regulate their nervous system, and process what’s unresolved so they can feel more grounded, present, and like themselves again.

Life hasn't always been easy for me; however, even at 49, it was not too late to make serious changes and become more of the person I wanted to be. If life has been difficult for you, I understand that every person is unique, has a story, deserves to be listened to, and can change. You are more than you feel like you are. Rebuilding a person's vision for a better tomorrow, is always a good step in the right direction.

Hi, I’m Michael Aluvieve, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) providing telehealth therapy for adults across Ohio. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, and also work with stress, PTSD, mood issues and life transitions. My approach is both professional and personal. After being accepted to Berklee College of Music, my own experience with mental health got in the way. Now i'm passionate about helping others that struggle with their mental health. Mental health issues aren't just a clinical notion to me. I am familiar with how burdensome and painful they can be.

I provide online counseling for medical trainees in Ohio. I help medical trainees learn new ways of handling difficult thoughts and feelings so they can overcome challenging situations that show up in their lives. I understand the medical system you work in. I have direct clinical experience with medical trainees, and I’ve worked alongside medical students, residents, and attendings as a primary care psychologist. I’ve had honest conversations with medical trainees about how medical culture can contribute to the stigma around mental health and make it harder to ask for help.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
