I work best with four groups: 1. Young adults navigating faith, career, dating, life goals and trying to make wise choices about the future. 2. Men who want to be strong husbands, fathers, leaders and protectors, but struggle with anxiety, depression, habits like porn or overdrinking, faith doubts, or fear about where culture is headed. 3. Married individuals who feel stuck in unhealthy patterns and want to be a better spouse. 4. Anyone searching for a counselor who respects their Christian faith or libertarian/conservative worldview. If you’ve struggled to find a therapist who “gets” you, you may have just found a fit.

Beyond my overall approach I also have training in exposure response prevention ( ERP) for the treatment of OCD and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma.
Hello! I'm here to provide you with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgemental space as you embark on your counseling journey. Primarily working with teens and adults, I'd like to work with you to explore and cultivate your goals for therapy. Taking an integrative approach in treatment planning, I like to focus on you as a whole and keep in mind your overall happiness and functioning while we address the specifics of what you feel like is hindering you. I believe therapy is not only about learning to cope with current stressors but to build resilience for the future.

I work with children, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Many come to me seeking support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorder, relationship challenges, substance use, or major life transitions. I help clients understand what’s getting in the way, build practical tools for daily life, and reconnect with their strengths. Together, we create a safe, supportive space where meaningful change becomes possible.

My approach is informed by Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
You might be constantly overthinking or overwhelmed, and you're not sure why you feel this way. Your mind races, you avoid things that matter to you, or you get caught in patterns that you can't seem to be able to stop. If this experience sounds familiar to you, we may work well together. I work with individuals to explore the deeper roots of these patterns and develop the skills to create lasting change that allows you to feel more like yourself again. In counseling, we can work together to break these cycles that hold you back.

We have received training in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure Response and Prevention ( ERP) therapy—the gold standard treatment for OCD.
Becoming a therapist was never on my list of 'things I want to be when I grow up.' It wasn’t until I needed to sit down and talk to someone that I realized what I truly wanted to do with my life. As a naturally empathetic person, I wanted to learn how to help people heal emotionally and mentally. At NOCD, my team and I provide personalized and effective specialized treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of the nuances of these conditions enables us to diagnose and treat them properly.

We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy ( ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD.
I started my career working with at-risk youth in families dealing with mental illness and substance use. The lack of resources and understanding about the impact of mental health on functioning inspired me. OCD is a commonly misunderstood disorder that disrupts the life of the person it attaches to. I want to help others improve their lives by working through the issues that hold them back from success. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for OCD. Our deep understanding of the nuances of OCD enables us to properly diagnose and treat it.

It makes me so happy to help a person become a better version of themselves. We don't get taught how to handle emotions, feelings, obsessions, and compulsions in school. Providing that for people gives me purpose. I love seeing the light-bulb moments when the member shows so much growth.

My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you feel safe to be open, heard, and free of judgment. Having been in therapy myself, I understand how honesty can accelerate growth and healing. Our work together will be collaborative but real—I’ll offer encouragement, accountability, and a little tough love when it’s needed. Think of me as the supportive older sibling who helps you face anxiety with humor and confidence. OCD therapy can feel intimidating, but it’s truly worth the effort.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
