I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor who started her degree at the University of South Florida. I’ve worked from treatment assistant to supervisor. I have worked with those suffering with substance use disorders, trauma and panic disorders and even parents of children with special needs. My goal is to help people learn real time tools to help manage intense emotions and overcome pervasive patterns that prevent healthy relationships. Since I have worked in the social services for over 20 years, I have a wealth of knowledge. Asking for help is a first step toward a better understanding and improved functioning.

Life's biggest challenges, such as job loss, divorce, loss of a loved one, legal and health issues, and even joyous occasions like welcoming a new baby to the family, can be overwhelming.
Hello, I'm Marianne. I've been providing online therapy for five years. My previous experience includes inpatient and outpatient care, group and individual therapy, and working closely with a psychiatrist. I find online therapy to be as effective as in-person and much more convenient for my clients. I am an independently licensed counselor in the state of Ohio (LPCC), which means I diagnose and treat. We will have a conversation that answers: What is bringing you to therapy at this time? What goals, in general, do you want to accomplish through therapy? We will talk about your background, where you grew up.

You may feel stuck in patterns you understand logically but struggle to change emotionally. Perhaps stress, overwhelm, emotional eating, or ongoing challenges in relationships have become ways of coping, even though they no longer serve you. You’re motivated for change, yet frustrated by cycles of short-term progress followed by setbacks. You want lasting relief, greater self-trust, and healthier relationships—with food, your body, and the people in your life.

I have advanced training, education, and experience in trauma, grief, and narcissistic abuse recovery.
Accepting new clients for EMDR, EMDR Intensives, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR). I am a doula of becoming. Becoming new and whole and alive again after our souls are fractured by the sometimes terrible experiences of being a human. The unexpected, unimaginable reckoning that burns us to the ground. We partner together to release. We mourn the old. We grieve. We send it on its way. And we welcome in the next version of you. Fortified and evolved. Ready to Live.

I help clients navigate anxiety, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
At Well-Bean Counseling, I believe everyone deserves space to refill their cup. Many of my clients are used to being the ones who care for everyone else—partners, children, family members—while their own needs slowly move to the bottom of the list. Over time, that can leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or emotionally drained. Therapy can be a place to stop carrying it all alone. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build practical coping strategies, and reconnect with your strengths so you can care for yourself while nurturing meaningful relationships.

As a PTSD survivor and a bereaved mother, I bring both lived understanding and advanced training in trauma, grief, and loss to my work.
With many years of experience as a licensed clinician, I work alongside immigrants and first-generation Americans, parents raising children with complex medical needs or autism, and individuals impacted by violent crime. I also support those navigating profound grief, including the loss of a child and the secondary losses that often follow.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
