You may feel stuck in patterns you understand logically but struggle to change emotionally. Perhaps stress, overwhelm, emotional eating, or ongoing challenges in relationships have become ways of coping, even though they no longer serve you. You’re motivated for change, yet frustrated by cycles of short-term progress followed by setbacks. You want lasting relief, greater self-trust, and healthier relationships—with food, your body, and the people in your life.

I help clients explore and understand the patterns, relationships, and life experiences that shape their lives while drawing from attachment-based, Adlerian, Gestalt, relational, and evidence-based approaches to support growth.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I help individuals, couples, and families navigate relationship challenges, anxiety, trauma, betrayal, emotional abuse, codependency, trust issues, communication difficulties, and the impact of addiction on relationships. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling to set boundaries, losing themselves in relationships, or feeling disconnected from who they are and the people they care about most. Together, we work to build self-worth, strengthen relationships, break unhealthy cycles, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Our ideal clients are individuals, partners, or families navigating change, pain, or uncertainty. They may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves or each other. Often capable on the outside, they struggle internally with anxiety, grief, trauma, or self-doubt. They need a safe, nonjudgmental space to feel seen, understood, and supported. Their goals include relief from distress, stronger connection, emotional clarity, and healthier patterns. They seek therapy not because they are broken, but because they are ready for healing, growth, and more authentic, balanced lives—together or on their own.

Come as you are. Prepare to be honest, be messy, laugh, cry, swear, and feel like you can be 100% yourself. I work with people who are navigating gender identity and LGBTQ+ experiences, healing after relationships with narcissistic or emotionally unsafe partners, adjusting to life after divorce, managing anxiety and feeling overwhelmed in parenthood. Many of my clients are moms carrying guilt and stress, people rebuilding their sense of self after a major life shift, or adults working through trauma wounds. This is a space where you can process grief, trauma, identity changes, or unhealthy relationship patterns.

Hi! I imagine you are here because things are not great. Perhaps, you would like to improve or change something, or maybe you just want to feel better or more comfortable in your skin.. I know it can be scary, but I believe it’s also brave. It takes courage to admit that you would like life to be different. I believe together we can get you to a place where life isn't so hard. During my 18 year career, I have been fortunate to have met wonderful people and together we have grown. I view the therapeutic process through a person centered lens and as something we do together. I believe it is important to celebrate the small successes.

I am certified in EMDR and I lean into trauma-informed treatment and attachment-based approaches as a therapist.
Do you feel like your emotions are in the driver’s seat? Are you finding yourself falling into the same unhealthy habits or relationship patterns? Are you feeling burdened by the pain of your past? These are some of the most common concerns I hear when someone is in search of therapy. My goal is to help people find balance and create a life worth living. I strive to build a trusting relationship with my clients so that they can successfully achieve the goals most personal to them. I want my clients to feel safe and supported, while also encouraged to grow.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
