As a therapist, I have a holistic approach to helping my clients heal. I see individual adults, children aged 13 to 18 years old, and couples. My approach is Eclectic, and I mostly use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Reality Therapy to help you identify and reshape healthy thoughts. In addition, I like to work as a team with my clients, so that we can come up with healthy and effective strategies to overcome challenges in their lives. At times, I will incorporate mindfulness.

I combine EMDR, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing to help you understand your patterns, build concrete coping skills, and make values-based changes in a warm, structured, and collaborative space.
You might had felt exhausted from holding everything together, especially if addiction, anxiety, or depression had been part of your story. I specialize in working with adults ready for meaningful change, even after relapse or trauma. Together, we will create a safe, honest space to explore what brought you here, set clear goals, and build healthier coping skills. Over time, we will work to reduce shame, deepen self-understanding, and support lasting change in how you relate to yourself, others, and your recovery.

Navigating the landscape of depression is challenging, as it manifests uniquely in each person. However, some common indicators can help identify this mental health disorder. Are you or someone you know grappling with a pervasive sense of sadness, a void, or feeling of hopelessness? Are you noticing diminished energy, excessive fatigue, or struggles with concentration and decision-making? Sleep patterns may also shift, ranging from insomnia to oversleeping. Changes in appetite or weight, a deep-seated sense of guilt or worthlessness, and recurring thoughts about death or suicide are also key signs.

Feeling stressed, burned out, overwhelmed? Are your emotions driving the bus? Feel like you have lost your aim, your motivation? Your life may look successful on the surface, but internally things feel heavy, disconnected, or harder to manage than they should. This is more common than you think. You do not have to manage this alone. The goal of therapy shouldn't be just a place to vent (although that can be helpful at times) it is a place to understand what isn't working, aim toward a life you want to have, and work with your therapist to create a realistic plan to make it happen. Are you ready to make that change?

You’re the overachiever, the strong one, the one who puts out fires, and keeps going in a crisis. Maybe you’re even more comfortable in a crisis than those quiet moments in between. Trauma can do that. It rewires our brain for survival so the crisis is when we best perform. But crisis mode, PTSD, it doesn’t work well for everything else. It can show up as constant exhaustion, anxiety spirals, difficulty finding joy, or just not feeling like yourself.

Have you ever felt lost, unsure, or disconnected from your authentic self? I know I have at different points along my own life journey. Through both my experience as a client and as a therapist, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of therapy to support people through life’s challenges, big and small. Life can be hard and you don’t have to face it alone. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your vulnerabilities, because the strength to overcome challenges is often closer than it feels. I have experience working with young adults navigating transitions, because “adulting” can be overwhelming.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
