My ideal client is someone who is ready to make sense of their story and move toward healing, even if they don’t yet know where to start. They may be carrying the weight of anxiety, loss, trauma, or self-doubt, and want to feel grounded, capable, and connected again. As a therapist and social worker, and as someone who has walked through my own difficult seasons, I understand that growth often begins in the moments we feel most uncertain. My goal is to help clients rediscover their strength, gain clarity, and create meaningful change that allows them to move beyond survival into a life of purpose and self-acceptance.

Life is hard. It can be filled with transitions, challenges, anxieties, grief, depression, a past that just doesn't seem to leave you alone - just to name a few. These things can cause us to live a life that is inauthentic and make decisions that aren't in alignment with the values and hopes that we have. As a therapist, I see it as my role to come alongside you and be with you as you navigate life's challenges, with the goal of living an authentic, fulfilling life. I see clients all over Ohio and California!

Currently only taking Florida and Minnesota clients. If you have insurance or want to connect with me via a platform; I work on Grow, Sondermind, Headway, and Rula. Self Pay Rate is $80, and Rula does not take Self Pay. If you don't have insurance or want to see me directly; Self Pay Rate is $60. Someone with the wrong prescription of glasses will inevitably trip and fall, regardless of how good or bad their vision is, and regardless of how many coffee tables they’ve kicked. I aspire to help clients in finding their exact lens, both providing clarity and decreasing undesirable symptoms–even if that’s only coffee table bruises.

Have you spent your life overachieving, working hard, taking care of others, doing all the right things, and yet things aren't working out how you expected them to? Are your relationships very often one-sided, where you give a lot but no one takes care of you? I see you. My practice focuses on those who have "done all the right things," and are wondering why things are still so hard. Unfortunately, being hard on ourselves, working hard, achieving all the things, and taking care of everyone around us doesn't often lead to the sort of healing and peace we long for.

The entire world has been changed, seemingly overnight. Please reach out if you need to talk to someone. Ever wake up in the morning and said to yourself, "I cannot keep doing this", only to find yourself doing the very thing you swore off only four hours ago? If you have said this to yourself, you have probably been surfing the internet for a cure for addictions, or how to quit drinking so much, or how to make it through detox. Addictions are insufferable. I have been working in the field for 13 years with mental health and addiction issues.

We are all a story, shaped by our unique identities, experiences, strengths, and challenges. As we navigate new situations and overcome obstacles, we learn more about ourselves and develop the skills and strategies that support our growth and healing. We improve our ability to discern what aligns with our goals, needs, and values. We can also recognize those things that no longer guide us toward a sense of well-being. In therapy, we'll collaborate to discover and explore the type(s) of meaningful change you seek.

You’re driven and capable. You perform at work, lead at home, and push yourself physically—but privately, a behavior is undermining your confidence. Alcohol, substance use, or stress-driven escape may be costing you focus and integrity. You’re not looking for labels or endless talk. You want clarity, control, and a disciplined plan that strengthens your mind and body so your private life matches your public standards.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, even when you appear to be “holding it all together.” If you’re navigating stress, anxiety, mild-moderate depression, life changes, or grief and loss, you don’t have to go through it alone. My clients are high-functioning adults who know that, beneath the surface, things could feel better and they are ready for meaningful change. I bring lived experience with many of the struggles I support my clients through. I understand what it’s like to be “high functioning” on the outside while quietly carrying struggles on the inside.

Although psychological assessment can seem overwhelming, it is designed to help you and your loved one understand and find the correct treatment for their current symptoms. Similar to medical tests that are done to understand a patient’s physical symptoms, psychological assessment uses tests, questionnaires, and clinical observation to understand a person’s behavior, personality, cognitive and social-emotional functioning. It is likely that you are looking to gather information about yourself or your loved one in order to clarify and find a way to help them. Psychological assessment is a way to find answers to plan for treatment.

FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in Greene County?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
